Episode Transcript:
Hey, beautiful soul, welcome in for another episode of spirit speakeasy. Today we are going to be talking about, by popular request, pets in heaven. People often ask me, as a medium, will I see my pet again? Where are they? Can they communicate through a medium? And today, we are really going to talk about what mediumship reveals about pets in heaven. If you have ever loved an animal like really loved an animal, you know that their presence settles into our lives in ways that's deeper than words. They really kind of curl up into our routines and anchor us during seasons of our lives, where everything feels unsteady, and somehow they manage to see the very best parts of us, even on the days we struggled to see it ourselves. I believe, because I've had animals, beloved animals, in my life, that animals have a soul. They're not just little creatures moving around with no thoughts and no feelings and no soul energy inside. If you've ever really loved an animal, you know that there is a little soul inside there, so when they leave this world, the grief can honestly feel just as heavy, just as complex, just as life shaking as losing a person that we care about. And for some people, in some circumstances, it can feel even more profound than losing a person, sometimes our fur babies or our beloved furry friends. Even, you know, I've even known people that have had unusual pets, or pets that don't have any fur at all, and they are sometimes some of the most intimate relationships in our lives. We share everything with them. They see us at our best and our worst, and sometimes even more so than the human counterparts in our life. So one of the most common questions I get asked as a medium is, where did my pet go? Are they okay? Will I ever see them again? And today's episode is for every sensitive soul out there who has ever asked these questions within themselves, not from a place of theology or theory, am I going to talk today, but really the real evidence and details and feelings that I've felt and seen and been shown again and again through mediumship, the way animals show up, how they communicate, what they communicate, the personalities that they still have, and the unmistakable reassurance that they have offered through many sessions over the years. From the other side, we're going to talk about what actually, what I actually perceive as a medium when I communicate with pets on the other side, the messages they most consistently communicate from the other side, the truth about guilt, especially around choices that we have to make at the end of our pets lives sometimes, and how pets continue to guide us and support us after their passing. Plus, we can talk about some signs that animals in the spirit world can use to let us know that they're still around. So please know that I'm going to use interchangeably animals, pets, furry loved ones. And you could just use whatever form of that word fits your pet that is on the other side or that you are wondering about, and you'll also he'll hear some personal stories and client experiences that beautifully illustrate how deeply and how specifically our pets can continue to stay connected with us from the other side. So whether you are freshly in your grief of the loss of a pet, or remembering a pet from years ago, or even just curious about how animals and their souls can fit into the unseen world. This episode is meant to bring comfort and clarity and maybe even a sense of reunion or possibility, even if it's only energetically or soul to soul right now. So take a big, deep breath. Get yourself something warm to drink if you can settle in and let's step into this gentle, sacred conversation together. So first, let's get into what do I feel, see sense, know as a medium when pets cross over, so when pets communicate from the other side, what am I experiencing as a medium when I'm connecting with the spirit world in general, and animals can arrive in communications with just as much personality, clarity and emotional presence as the humans that you have heard me talk about, the beloved loved ones on the other side, when animals show up, they Don't show up as symbols or abstract beings. They show up as a soul in my awareness, and I can blend the energy of my soul with the energy of theirs, very similar to the way that I would work with a human soul, a person, and they show up exactly the way that you knew them. For the most part, they're. Their personality, their energy, the essence of them, is typically pretty easily recognizable to my clients, because the bond between the animal and their person is a special relationship. So even an animal on the spirit side can communicate their personality, memories from their life. Sometimes some animals will share about their passing, particularly if there is a need from their human friend to have something explained or alleviated or just some clarity on that end part of their life. And sometimes they can come in softly. At first, they are often coming into the session accompanied by human counterparts, even though they don't have to. So I mean, I have had sessions that are primarily animals, but typically a human companion will come into the session if they're on the other side, and the pet companion will accompany them. And they really commonly communicate love and so many details about their personality. It's kind of interesting to me, because I sometimes feel like you know, as humans, when we have this life experience, there are messy parts for us, particularly in our emotions. We go through challenges and difficult relationships, and we behave in difficult ways, and sometimes have lots of things to make apologies for. Where I find that animals, perhaps it's just the the gentle, pure nature of them, where particularly, like I'm thinking dogs and cats and horses, they don't get attached to mistakes that humans make. They don't get attached to tough times that they might have had. They do, as we know, through scientific research about animals, they have, they can hold on to fear, right, if they were abused or something, but they have this almost like a reset within them that allows them to really, quote, unquote, let go of those types of difficult things. So they are typically communicating their personality and happy emotions. And if you have ever loved a pet, you know that they do have very different personalities, just like our family members, so they can express their personalities, parts of their story, the quirks or preferences they have. And again, if you've ever loved an animal. You know that they definitely have their quirks and preferences. For example, I've had them communicate the exact spot on the couch that they claimed, or where that they would like to be laying down in the room for their vantage point that they liked, or perhaps they like to sprawl out in the sunlight that streams through your living room or bedroom. Sometimes they'll communicate things about that. Sometimes they'll share, for example, the backyard that they loved running in, or the park that you took them to, that they like to go for walks, or the toy that they refused to part with. Or I had one recently that had a favorite, like stuffed animal, and I even came to know that the family kept the stuffed animal with them as they were going to the vet at the end of their life, and making their transition, the family had put this really special stuffy with them, and it meant a lot to everyone involved. It can even be silly personality traits or behaviors. I've had some communicate that they love to be dressed up in little sweaters and hats, and others that communicated that they absolutely hated to be dressed up in sweaters and hats. Sometimes they will share their expressions. For example, I'm thinking of a recent dog who was in the bully family that was communicating from the other side, and this dog was so expressive with their face, in their relationship with their human counterparts. And it was almost like this dog made like very human like expressions with their eyebrows, with their gaze, with their sad eyes.
And so they were able to communicate that they can even communicate things like the way that you memorialized them, or a favorite photo that you still have on a nightstand of them. I recently had a little fur baby communicate that his parents, his human parents, were remembering him. They had these special pillar candles made, and the glass that holds the candle had a photo of the dog when it was a puppy, and then at the end of its life, on either side. So it was able to share that, you know, it knew how it was being memorialized and where the candle was, and some other details about things that they had saved of the animals and ways that they were memorializing them. And I've even had them share details about like a recent family birthday party or gathering or something that's going on in the family they were a part of because they're still a family member. They still care about what's going on in the family. Sometimes they'll share, oh, my person is thinking about getting a new dog, and I just want to. Let them know that I think that's a great idea when they're ready, or they just got a recent furry, you know, new animal, to take them on walks and things. So they will often communicate about these kind of things. I had a rescue dog show. She was beautiful. She was showing that she was very skittish and very uncomfortable, particularly with men, due to a part of her life before this family received her, and they were saying, yeah, they didn't know a lot about that part of her life, but they did know that she had been found, you know, taken from a bad situation and kind of like a backyard situation, and that they did recognize this part of her personality, but this dog was communicating how appreciative she was to this new family and how much she loved being a part of the family. And this one was particularly bittersweet, because they did have to make some choices at the end of this dog's life, she started to have some I don't know if they call it this for dogs, but sort of like an Alzheimer's or dementia, and she started getting really easily scared in a different way, and some health problems arose, and they just had to make some decisions that they were having. The family was having some really tough feelings about and really tough time, kind of resolving themselves with if they did the right thing, if the timing was right, and this dog just kept communicating all these bits and examples of the way this family loved this dog with all of their hearts and that they were a true member of the family. They showed laying down watching movies with the two kiddos in the family, and how one of the kiddos always seemed to be giving the dog bits of snacks and cheese, and they showed how the dad had a special routine at the end of the day when he came home from work with the dog, and how they would play and exercise, and how the dog would follow the mom around in the day when the kids were gone at school and they were just alone, and it was kind of like Her protector and her sweet little friend. So they really do quite similar to a human, have their memories and know who they are, and know who you are, and know about the family that they're a part of. They share love for their family, how loved they still are and and were when they were physically here. And sometimes they'll share details about their passing. No matter how they crossed over, they don't return to me in distress. So just like human loved ones on the other side, there are all types of ways that an animal can cross over to the spirit world, as we know and oh, I'm thinking of a really tough one. I'm going to give a little bit of a trigger warning here. I won't go into super specifics, but I'll give you the gist. I had a little tiny fur baby communicate that they weren't really an outside pet. They were an inside pet, but they had been following the family kind of in and out of the house that day. This is in the greater San Diego, Southern California area. And as they were following the family in and out, they just something caught their eye. They went running into the yard. They were having a little bit of adventure, and when the family went back in for a few moments, this animal stayed outside, and the family was just right back in and out. But Everything happened so quickly and sadly, a big Hawk, or like a predatory bird swooped down and took this little fur baby, and they communicated that, and they even wanted to share like, I'm okay. It's nobody's fault. It's fine. It's I'm at peace. I still love my family. I'm not upset, because, as you might imagine, even though this is just a terrible accident, the family was really carrying broken hearted feelings over this so animals are just as able as humans to communicate from the other side and bring healing and love and relief, and they don't show trauma or fear. They show me relief and release and return to the spirit world, just like the rest of the family. And I've even had one kind of recently that it was, it was that my client's mom on the other side, and there was a small animal, like a lap size animal. And I was like, your mom keeps indicating that she has a little lap size animal with her that she's loving and caring for, and I feel like this animal belongs to you. And my client said, Yeah, and that's so funny, because my mom didn't really like dogs she was here. So it's really funny that you know, on the other side, things are different. Everyone's at peace. Everyone gets along, and again, they sometimes will share who they're with. On the other side, as far as family or even other furry fur babies that we've had in the past, they sometimes will share adventures they're having. They often express, like I said, a sense of peace and happiness and just the pure love that they know that their family was giving them. And you know, I often also get asked, What do pets on the other side want their human people to know the most? And over the years, I've noticed some patterns in what it seems like animal souls consistently communicate once they're in the spirit world. These messages do tend to repeat themselves with incredible frequency, and it seems to be no matter the species or the breed or the age or the circumstances of their life or their passing, and one of the clearest themes that they understood from far more than we give them credit for, is that they show the love that they receive, and they show our emotional state at the end of their lives. So they often show me what their family was trying to do for them, keep them comfortable. I've seen, you know, treats at the end of life. I've seen vets coming to houses so they could be maintained. I've seen kids coming home from college to love up on their animals before it's time to say their final goodbyes. So they really do communicate all of the love and tenderness that they received and and show what the family was trying to do for them. They show me their gratitude. They communicate kind of, the highlights of how loved they felt, how great their family is, and even when things might have been challenging or gone awry or something accidental or unforeseen might have happened, and they also bring forward really fun memories that are overwhelmingly positive, the playful routines, familiar times and play times in daily life, the way you spoke to them, the rhythms that they shared with you. Sometimes they will share how spoiled they were, or even how much they loved, oh, I had one recently that, like, would express how much they really loved that, like, puppuccino thing, the whipped cream cup that some coffee places do for dogs that like, oh yeah, me and my mom, we went every morning we drop off my siblings, my human siblings, at school, and then I would get my puppuccino and I was so popular at this coffee place and and it's those really tender, poignant moments that really prove to me that even though they are in an animal body, they are a soul having an experience, and they're sharing this is what I carry with me, and the love is what truly mattered. Now, again, I'm gonna give a little bit of a trigger warning, because I feel like we need to talk about the topic of euthanasia, or sometimes in common language, we call it, needing to put our animal down or put them to sleep, help them transition. And they will sometimes not always communicate about this. I want to quickly highlight that most mediumship communications, and most of the pieces of the communication are all pointed towards or based on the greatest need of our soul, our soul or theirs. So they won't always bring it. It's just, if there is a need to communicate or heal something around a euthanasia, then sometimes it will come up, but it's not like a mandatory, oh, they always talk about this just for your information. And of course, as people, as human beings, we struggle with guilt and doubt and the question of whether we made the right choice for them at the right time,
because sometimes the timing feels terrible, and it is an incredibly hard choice to make, but what animals show me repeatedly is acceptance, is their deep wisdom and understanding as a soul that their human was doing the most compassionate thing for them. They sometimes will communicate while my human companion was really just kept going over and over in their mind, over the last six months of my life, looking at what kind of quality of life I was getting, and it was really hard for them to let me go, but they did realize that I was not having a good quality of life, and it was the right timing for me. Sometimes they express relief from pain and discomfort or like an illness that couldn't be cured or that we couldn't find but it always seems to come with a sense of gratitude that their person eased their suffering and put those hard feelings aside to do what was right for their beloved animal. They don't assign blame, they don't hold resentment. Their emotional perspective is far more compassionate than the stories we tell ourselves as human beings. I'm thinking of one recently that was a really hard situation in this family. They had just brought their second baby into the world and their beloved animal who they had had since before they were married and before they had kids. It was like their first baby, is kind of the way they said it. And right around the time of the arrival of their second baby, they needed to make a choice about putting their animal into that peaceful transition with the vet. So what was so challenging for them is that they just had the most guilty feelings, because particularly the mom, since she was home the most felt like, wow. Well, this is my first baby, and I love this animal so much. And in the last, you know, six months of its life, I really wasn't giving it as much attention, and I wasn't doing the walks and the time, because I was at the end of my pregnancy and I have a little kid, and it was just so hard. And actually, right around the birth of the child was when the health started really declining of this animal, and the mom just felt like, I just feel terrible, because I don't want them to think that they were replaced or that I didn't love them because I was having this baby, and actually what this dog communicated was that it was really part of their journey to try to stay as long as they could, to support the mom through this part of her pregnancy, because she had a bit of a rocky pregnancy, especially at the end, and that once they knew the baby was going to arrive safely, that they knew that they could go, that they had been hanging on for the mom, and that they were so, so grateful that the baby was safe and that it could be their time to go to their eternal rest, if you will. So they really do have much more of a compassionate and pure perspective that we than we do. And I also want to highlight because this comes up as a concern for people quite a bit. If someone was not able to be there at the moment that their pet passed animals often show me that they were not alone. I've had it come up over these years where perhaps the animal passed away and their people weren't there. Perhaps it wasn't with a vet, perhaps it was a different way, or they just couldn't be there, or a member of the family couldn't be there. And they will often show me, in those cases, who greeted them on the other side, what they felt, how much they remain connected with their person or their people or their family, even from the other side. Many times, they'll show me that the person they loved was protected in some way from having to witness an extremely difficult moment. They frame it more as mercy or grace and not as an emotion of abandonment. And something else that comes through so beautifully is that animals do not move on, quote, unquote, away from us, just like our spirit, people, our loved ones. On the other side, they stay with our family and stay around us and close to us. Even from the other side, they feel no need to choose between peace and connection. They really are able to hold both in a beautiful, loving way, which actually doesn't surprise me, because if you've ever had an animal that you've loved, you know their capacity to have kindness and love and softness, even when chaos is going on for us, they can just be so grounded and supportive and sometimes unbothered. Now I also get this question, can beloved pets continue to guide us from the other side? And I think it's a really good question. So we're going to chat a little bit about it. One of the most surprising things for people to hear is that pets can continue to support us and even sometimes play a small guiding role in our lives after they've transitioned. If you have listened to any of the spirit guide episodes, you will know that I believe that we all have our own team of guides, advisors, loved ones that sometimes will serve as inspirers or supporters. They're not technically a spirit guide, but they are on our proverbial team. As far as supporters and animals really are no exception to this. They can also become part of our teams of supporters after they've transitioned kind of how they're part of our teams of supporters in life. Now it doesn't mean that they become a full time spirit guide, in a way that we normally talk about spirit guides, but it does mean that they remain active participants in the energy of our lives, similar to how a best friend or a special family member would still care about you and want to support you and encourage you. From the spirit world, I had one recently, actually, and his person, this animal on the other side, his human person was he was communicating that she was having something in her health that meant she was supposed to be walking. I can't quite remember what it was. It's like a circulatory issue. So I don't know if it was like a pre diabetes or just like a lymphedema, swelling of the legs, but I just remember the swelling part. I don't remember the actual condition, because it's been a little while, but what this dog was communicating is, hey, my human mom is supposed to be walking, and I was really trying to help her with that and get her moving. And if she's not going to be doing it on her own, because she hasn't been doing it, I'm encouraging her to get another dog or to walk with a friend in the neighborhood that does have a dog, because she needs to be focusing on her health. So it was still coming through to encourage her and support her and give her a little loving nudge. About her health and again, sometimes they do comfort us or nudge us emotionally. It can be a sudden shift in the level of comfort we feel. It can be memories flooding in, reminding us of them, or even a little memory that just shifts our focus or softens the hard place that we're in. It can be a little bit of intuition that comes in. It can be a gentle softening of anxiety, in the same way that, like a support animal might help us gently soften our anxiety. Other times they draw our attention to something like a distraction, almost, it can show up as a sign. It can show up as a little nudge about a healthy habit, like this walk I was talking about or a new pet, like this walk, or like other times that I've had, or even a person that they're encouraging us to spend more time with. So they really do continue to support because we we are connected as souls through the love that we share. And the love of a pet or an animal is no less than the love of a person. Often, I again, it's not every animal is more than every person, but there are those special animals that come into our lives that we have incredibly deep and special and profound relationships with. Sometimes animals even seem to like introduce new companions. I had this come up recently. I'll talk about it in a sec.
I was thinking of this occasion recently when this it was a group reading, actually, and it was a family and other family members have had come through. And then in the last quarter of the reading, I was like, you guys, I'm so aware of this pet. Are you okay to hear from what I feel like is a dog? And they were like, yeah, actually, that's why we wanted to have this group reading. Is because we wanted to hear from our dog, which is wonderful. I'm glad some of human came through as well, just because, you know, I wanted them to get the best and the most need covered, the most healing that they could get. But this dog was communicating and was indicating that, oh, we're about to get a new dog in this family. And they said, Yes. And I said, Is this coming about in a very like, serendipitous or unusual way? Like you guys weren't looking for a dog. You didn't feel ready for a dog. There was a big discussion about, you know, not getting a dog for a while, and then, and they said yes, and I said, you know, and then, serendipitously, someone's dog either had puppies or has a dog that they found or came across or are fostering that now somehow crossed your path in a very unusual way. And that is, I won't tell you all the specifics, but that is a version of what happened. So it's really interesting that the dog knew about it. And then I had kind of said, Do you feel like your dog sort of serendipitously was involved in getting you together with this new dog? Because it just happened in such a strange way, or like a serendipitous way? And they were like, Oh my gosh, yes. We had been wondering if our dog was trying to encourage us to have this new dog. And I believe what it was is that one of the parents' friends was fostering some animals and just kind of got a new foster that they didn't realize was going to have puppies, and then of the puppies not really putting two and two together. Someone in the family that didn't know this whole family had named one of the puppies the same name as the dog, and it was a whole thing. So they said it was so serendipitous that they had been wondering, like, did our dog, is our dog involved in this? And the dog was like, Yeah, that's me, because this dog was the kind of dog, if you're old enough to remember Lassie, that was, like, very communicative and very protective of the family. And it did feel like something that this dog would do. And in fact, the dog communicated that, yeah, it was encouraging. And it did was the sort of the energy or the emotion of, like, a wink and a smile, of like, yeah, maybe I had something a little bit to do with that so. And of course, they're bringing this new family member, not as a replacement, but as a continuation of the love and care and companionship that worked for this family. And even if they didn't help orchestrate the new family member, they often let me know that, hey, another pet is here, or even sometimes, this just happened yesterday. This happens kind of frequently. They will acknowledge other pets that live in the home or that are around where the person goes through their day to day. Could be a neighbor, it could be someone at work. It could be, you know, a friend that they regularly visit. And they'll say, you know, that other animal sees me. I just had this yesterday, and I was kind of surprised, because this person it was, it was their spirit person on the other side, and then spirit dog on the other side, and this person who was was here, still in the living they just couldn't bring their heart to. Get another dog, they just didn't feel like they could, but through another friend, they were encouraged to get some little birds. And the dog and the partner on the other side were communicating, like, oh yeah, they got these little birds. And I all of a sudden, the dog was communicating. And I was like, did the birds sometimes go to one corner of the cage and just really get excited, and you hear them tweeting and flapping and doing all kinds of things. And the person was like, yeah, that's been happening, and it's very weird. And I was like, Oh, they see your dog, and your dog's indicating they see him, and he's trying to play with them in a safe way. So that was really funny. And in many different instances, they will communicate like, Oh, your animal moves over, and that's because my soul is still there and I'm scooting into that dog bed next to them, or they look off into the corner and are staring at nothing, and it's weird, and you're noticing it, and they're recognizing me, that the other dog is seeing me. They know I'm here, they know I'm still here. So what animals can communicate about their relationship with us really expands, rather than ends. They step in as supportive roles that fit the energy of our family. They are gentle and loving and present, and it's fascinating to me, not only how they can still be part of our lives, but the ways that they communicate that we actually are already recognizing, especially when it comes to other pets or sometimes little kids, recognizing them and seeing them, it is shocking. It never continue. I mean, it never ceases to amaze me. It always continues to blow my mind, how they can still be a part of our lives. So let's talk a little bit about pets and signs. Do pets in the spirit world send signs? And if so, how does that work? Okay, if you've ever wondered whether a pet can send a sign the same way a human loved one can, the answer I see again and again is, yes, they can, and they do. These signs are sometimes a physical sensation. Someone in my life feels a dog kind of jump up gently on the bed like they used to when they were here. So like a gentle feeling of them coming next to you on the couch or at the foot of the bed, if that's where they like to be, a gentle pressure against your leg at night, if that's how they slept, but it'll be far, far more subtle than what you experienced when they were here in their physical body, because it's the physical body that gives more of the weight to it. So don't be surprised if it is very subtle, or if it's just in your awareness and more of like the memory of the feeling, and not necessarily like the physical feeling of a dog touching your leg. It's very subtle. So hopefully I'm making that make sense. It can even be I had this before we had a dog that crossed over to the spirit world, and I just love her dearly. Still, there was a while where we still would hear the sound of her nails on the hardwood floor, and it was crazy because it was in the house. More than just me as a medium, was hearing it. Other family members were sometimes hearing it. We had no other pets in the house at the time, there was no way a neighbor's pet could make a nails on our hardwood floors in another part of the house make that noise. So sometimes it can be a physical sensation or an actual manifested noise. Sometimes they will say, there's like the light jingling of a collar and you can't quite place it, or the sudden scent of their fur or their shampoo. Sometimes, a sign can appear through the natural world, right? So animals can help an animal cross your path that kind of looks like them, or that has the same name as them, or you might notice a repeated encounter with the same breed of dog as was your dog. And it can't even be feeling totally random where I'm thinking of a friend that this happened to recently, they had one of those dogs that was like, I can't think of the name of right now, but the hot dog kind the wiener dog. What is it?
Dodge hound? Yeah, the hot dog dog and their dog crossed over, and about a year later, they really were thinking about the dog on the anniversary of the passing, and they called me, and they were like, This is the craziest thing. I feel like everywhere I go, I see one of these dogs, and for a little while, they were just sending me, like photos of them, because they just thought this is so mind blowing. And it was in weird places. One of them was they were at like a red light, stopped waiting to drive. And this kind of a dog on a little leash with their person, was crossing the street in front of them. So it's not like they were seeking this out in any way. They saw it on a bumper sticker, on a t shirt, on a the real dog, not even, not even like at dog parks, but places that you're like that is interesting, that this dog's crossing your path here, right? Yeah, like it's a doctor's appointment, strange places, so it can be you seeing the breed of your dog, or something that. Remind you of your dog over and over. And I have another friend that her beloved little fur baby sends her a certain color of butterflies. And when she sees this color of butterflies, she kind of gets a gentle feeling or warmth about that dog, and she knows it's them, which is really incredible. So they can appear through signs through the natural world, a moment of synchronicity that feels like a little bit of a wink from the other side. And other times, signs come in even more subtle ways, like memories that suddenly feel alive or vivid or unexpected, a memory you've forgotten about. I've been saying this to people often lately, because it's been coming up again and again where we as humans often have, I call it our highlight reel, kind of the memories that our mind wants to immediately go to about that animal or person even, and what their soul sometimes does is, once in a while, we might have a memory that we totally forgot about. It could be a quick memory, it could be a poignant memory, it could be a funny memory, but just something that's not usually one that we think about, that we maybe forgotten happened. And as they blend their soul with ours, they can bring a memory to the surface that we had forgotten about. And that's one of the ways that they can show up and reminisce with us and support us and love us. You might feel or sense them nearby, or sense their personality in a way that feels spontaneous and comforting. And if you've had pets with big personalities, I certainly have had a few are just special and have really big personalities. They do. I know this might sound crazy, if this is not your experience, but they do have their own personality and sense of humor and certainly their own way of communicating. I had a dog that would, it's the same dog that I was talking about earlier. She would, kind of, we called it foo. She would kind of like blow air out of her nose at you and shake her head at you, to communicate. And so sometimes there might be something that happens that just reminds me of her, or gives me a little chuckle of that feeling of her tenacity or her stubbornness, or her little attitude that she would get. So it can even be as subtle as that, and can feel spontaneous or comforting or just like a beautiful moment of connection in the way we remember them. I have another friend on the other side who has ladybugs that cross her path when her beloved fur baby is around. And it is really interesting the way that these ladybugs come in. It's sometimes a real Ladybug. She's received them on random greeting cards or circulars that come in the mail. She's seen them on bumper stickers. She's seen them on hats. I mean, it's really interesting. And frequently, in a place where it seems unusual to have ladybugs, she will find a ladybug wandering in her house, and she cannot figure out where they're coming from or how they're getting there. And she eventually, the truth is, she stopped fighting against it because she was a bit skeptical, and finally just said, Okay, I accept that these ladybugs are little hellos for my fur baby, and I'm just gonna take them because it's too much. I can't even deny it anymore. So there are so many ways that they can give signs. And just so, you know, similar to humans giving signs, it's not that they need us to do something. The sign is not, hey, do this for me. The sign is I love you. Hi, I'm still here. I'm still supporting you. I know what's going on in your life. Our connection hasn't broken. Our love still lives on. So it's all of these things wrapped into these little hellos from heaven, hellos from the spirit world. To recognize these signs is like the same way you would identify a spirit communicator, it's in the emotional resonance, the timing, how the personality kind of comes through or feels meaningful. Animals in the spirit world tend to send signs that match either their personality or something you would connect with them, or a way they want to express, like butterfly for freedom or could be something even silly, like playful. If they were gentle, it might be soft and subtle. If they were dramatic, you might get big, unmistakable, funny moments. So what really matters most is how the sign feels to you. These are as personal to you and your beloved furry friends as they are to us with any of our human loved ones. So what is a way that we can connect with our pets? In the spirit world, there really is a gentle practice that you can use if you want to feel closer to a pet. On the other side, it doesn't need to be big or deep or you don't need any special training for it, or special tools, but you can go into a state of awareness where you can gently spend time with them from the spirit world. But just know you don't have to do this. They don't expect you to, and they are still around you, whether you try to intentionally kind of connect with them or not. I would just recommend. End finding a cozy place to sit or take some moments to yourself, get a little bit grounded, whatever that is for you, I have some grounding exercises that I teach. If you've been with me on any of the workshops or things I teach, you'll know what they are, but get a little grounded. Take some breaths and just start to let your awareness really come into your body, not racing through your to do list or your busy life, but really just being in the center of your head, in your body. Feel your feet on the floor or on your seat, allow your enter energy to like, settle in, become calm, get a sense of your own self. In your personal space bubble, which is your auric field, spend a few moments just you sitting in your own energy, and then you can gently, energetically invite them in next to you. You can say their name quietly in your mind. You can kind of hold a picture of them in your mind. Or you can just kind of send the gentle intention that you'd like them to join you and connect with you in whatever ways most aligned for both of you. But don't expect it to be loud or palpable, even if you get the very light sensation of them sitting with you or in your lap or touching you in any way, just know it will likely be very subtle. It's okay if it's not that doesn't mean anything bad either. But just to set your expectations appropriately, if it feels very subtle, or even if you feel like nothing's happening, it is working, and it just takes a little time and practice and then just allow whatever happens to happen. You might feel a sensation, a memory, a warmth, maybe nothing at all will happen, but the intention itself is the soul to soul connection, and you're creating a space where the relationship and that connection can continue in an intentional way, but just like our human loved ones, they do spend time with us because of the love that we share. So even if you decide you don't want to do an exercise like this, your furry loved ones are around you all the time. Now, some of you that asked for this episode mentioned that you really loved the I did a different version of this episode A couple years ago where I talked about how I started to become aware of animals communicating on the other side. Because not all mediums believe that animal communication can happen. Some mediums only do animal communication. So there's like a spectrum, and not everyone agrees. But for me personally, I'm quite sure, just because it's happened so many times. So if you remember that episode, I told a story about one of the first spirit communications I gave after a Reiki session, because I was so aware of a horse in my space with its nose, it's it's
muzzle, I guess I don't I'm not a horse person. I don't know horses. I don't know anything about them. I think they're beautiful, incredible creatures. They kind of scare me a little if you want to know the truth, just because they're so big and powerful, and I have no experience with them. And everyone I've ever known that really loves horses has also had big horse injuries, so I'm a little intimidated by them, not in the spirit world, but just as a person, I don't know a lot about horses and the same experience, I won't tell that story again. It's in another episode, if you want to hear it, look for the other pets in heaven episode. But that experience, part of what the fun was, was that horse communicated, not just its presence and its personality, which did happen. But as part of that communication, I remember telling this person, I was like, This is so weird what I'm about to say to you. But you know, I know that you live in a house, and I know that your horse wasn't cared for at that house that you had, like a stable that was, you know, a little bit away that you were having your horse cared for at. But do you sometimes get the sense that that horse is peering into your house from a specific window that overlooks the kitchen sink or part of the kitchen and she was like, Oh my gosh, yes, that's the craziest thing. I always feel or sense the horse on that side of the house. And sometimes when I'm in the kitchen, I'm always thinking of them when I'm looking out that window, and I was like, because they keep showing me, in my mind, a mental picture of this part of your house, the window. At that point, I had not been to this person's house whatsoever, so I wouldn't have technically known what it looked like. And this horse just kept showing their long, big, beautiful face, looking peering right in that window with those beautiful brown, intense horse eyes. So it is really fascinating. And I throw that in there to let you know that sure, a lot of us have dogs and cats and small house animals, but if you have loved a large animal, a horse, an elephant, I know some people that are zoological researchers and work with big animals at conservation places like zoos and things. So even if it is a very large animal that you feel like, well, I don't know how the energy of this animal is going to fit in my house at all, they still can spend time with you wherever you are, saying hello and support. Hurting you. So just throwing that in there, and all you really need to do is say Hi and thank you, whether you feel something strong or subtle. So I hope this conversation has brought you a little comfort, maybe even a softening in your body or your emotions, or a flicker of recognition of some ways that your fur babies might be communicating with you from the other side. You might have even had a moment where you thought that sounds like something that's happening to me, or that has happened to me, and the love you shared with your pet didn't disappear when their physical body did. The bond doesn't break. The relationship doesn't end. From everything I've witnessed as a medium and everything I felt in my own life and in my own experience as a sensitive animals continue loving us with just as much purity and steadiness that they did in their lives, and it is truly extraordinary. They don't hold guilt, they don't judge our decisions, they don't hold hard feelings for the way they pass or the timing of their passing. They don't replay the final moments in the way we often do. And that beloved dog that I was talking about, I did have to make some choices at the end of her life, and for my end of those choices and what I had to experience with her transition, I hated it, guys, it was I didn't love it, and it was at a loving bet, and it was done properly. But if you've ever had that experience, you know that those mental images and those really tough emotions can kind of linger with us as human beings and stay with us. Rest assured, they do not stay with your pet, and they don't replay those, and they often express that the part that we saw was not their experience. It was the reaction of their physical body, but not the way that their soul felt, not the way they felt, and not exactly what they experienced. So I hope that can bring some comfort to you as well. And they don't carry tough emotions with them. They carry the essence of their time with us, the joy, the routines, the love, the relationship, and they stay connected to us. So this episode made you think of someone who's grieving a pet or who could use some reassurance. Please feel free to share it with them. You never know who might need this today and who this might really give some upliftment or comfort to and the animals we love, our souls in a human body and an I mean, sorry, not an unhuman body, an animal body. They're little souls in an animal body. And their love, their soul continues on, just like anyone that we have loved that is on the spirit side. I absolutely love hearing your stories. So if you have had an experience with a pet in the spirit world, or a sign that meant something to you from a pet in the spirit world. I would love if you messaged me. I do read all the emails.
